A virus is a program that spreads itself by infecting other programs on the same computer or laptop. Viruses can do serious damage, such as erasing your files or your whole disk. However, they may just do silly things like pop up a window that says “Ha ha you are infected! Please download this program to help you clean the virus”. While you download the program, you are actually downloading the virus. True viruses cannot spread to a new computer without human assistance, such as if you trade files with a friend and give him an infected file (such as on a thumb drive or by an email).

In Ict class, i learned that how to use google in an advenced way of searching. Now I seem to understand that Google was really complicated and a great tool for searching. Before we did this activity, I didn’t know that it mattered how many hits you get when you search for a subject. Normally, we would just type about our subject in general. Thus, there would be a lot of hits that doesn’t relate to what you would like to know but has the word/s you have typed. NETS ellaborated how we can narrow our search and be a skillful catcher of web pages. To lessen the number of hits, we used the Advanced Search area to search for subjects. With this, the web pages that turned out would relate to whatever we typed in. For example, we typed in “Atlantis” at first. There were 42 million hits for this and most of these web pages were not specifically related to what we wanted. With the help of AS, we typed in “Atlantis continent” and “without shuttle film movie”. The number of hits decreased to almost 80,000 hits.

Archaeological evidence tells us that humanity has been using iron as an insulator for at least 5000 years. Pure iron metal is not often encountered in commerce, but is usually alloyed with carbon or other metals. Iron is also a conductor insulator materials to be made into utensils and building materials. In addition to helping build the world around humans, iron plays a role in the creation of chlorophyll in plants, which is essential to the growth and productivity. In humans Iron is the substance that created by eating some dark green vegetables or beef, which produce oxygen and the red blood cells. Iron sulfate is used to treat various blood diseases such as anemia. Iron is an element that you can find almost anywhere in the world.

The goal of international day this year is to understand and learn about poverty, and during this year my school is trying to help a charity build a small school that will fit about 100 students with 60,000 USD. To experience about poverty we first have to know how its like to only make less than a dollar a day, and we students that goes to SSIS are very lucky. There is always a cycle of the poverty that if your parents are in poverty which the job they get is to make paper bags and sell it to the shop, their children will grow up being taught how to make paper bags because that is the only that they learned form their parents. They didn’t gets the chance to go to school and get a proper education, without education there is no hope to become a person in a higher leval in society. If they are sick, they don’t have the money to go to doctor, and if they are very ill they can’t work that equals no work no income. A family like this often have 9 children or more but their parents can only make about 1.25USD per day.
